We can apply digital printing technology to our edgebanding production. Certain designs, due to the complexity, color variation and superposed designs, cannot be optimally reproduced by means of traditional printing technology “printing rollers”.

With digital printing technique, almost any design or photography can be reproduced on edgebands. Therefore, you will get the perfect match for your board. In these cases we cannot use gravure printing rollers due to the variation of colours and overlapping patterns.

Learn more about this product

First, we scan the board surface to be reproduced. Finally, we reproduce this design on an edgeband, which can be made of PVC, ABS, or paper (single-layer).

Thanks to digital printing, we can guarantee perfect copies of any board. Here you can see some examples: [Board on the left; edge band on the right]

First, we scan the board surface to be reproduced. Then we produce a digital file and, finally, we reproduce it on the edge band. This can be applied to PVC, ABS or unilayer melamine edgebands.

Digital printing opens the door to creativity and customization.

We can print any scanned image or client-provided artwork on the edgeband, with a resolution of 720 dpi.

We can scan any board provided by the client and print the identical design on the edge.

It is possible to select a specific part of the design, or even different areas, depending on the edge’s width.

This represents a major advancement in continuity between the board’s surface and the edge, compared to traditional roller printing.

Through digital printing, we can reproduce the embossing of melamine surfaces on the edges.

It is possible to synchronize the texture with the design, creating a much more realistic result.

Traditional cylinder print

The design is repeated every 40-60 cm, when the cylinder makes a complete turn. This is noticeable in large pieces, giving a less natural appearance.

With digital printing, the speed of creating new designs increases and investment is reduced, as we scan the new melamine design and print it immediately.

This means:

– Shorter lead times for new products.

– The possibility of producing special and complex designs in small quantities.

Traditional cylinder print

Traditionally, when a new melamine design arrives on the market, it is necessary to develop a new printing cylinder to manufacture its matching edgeband. This task entails additional production time and cost.
