Solid end-grain

Our solid end grain edgeband follows the natural shape of wood and gives to the piece a strip board appearance.

The edgeband is made of natural veneer and transfers to your furniture the warmth and texture of wood .

We manufacture this edgeband with natural cross-cut veneer. Therefore, you can apply on the edgeband the same varnish or dye than on the surface of the board. The result will be impressive.

Our inspiration

The illustration shows us how the grain looks like when cutting the piece this way.

The resulting pieces have a crown cut grain on the surface, and not straight. We can also see that the endgrain follows the lines of the trunk growth rings.

To achieve the same effect, we must put the solid solid end-grain edgebanding at the ends of the piece. We will perfectly recreate natural wood in a veneer piece.

How solid end-grain edgeband is manufactured?

Cantisa’s solid top edgebanding is made from natural wood veneer cut from the top. The sheets have a thickness of 0.7 mm.
To create the edgeband rolls, we join pieces like the ones we see in the image below.

Veneer species available

Find the ideal solid end grain edgeband for your project. The top layer of the edgeband is always supplied sanded.

The edgeband is 1.2 mm thickness: 0.7 mm are from the veneer foil and 0,5 mm are from the under layer veneer.

Printed end-grain

This edgeband is made of veneer rolls ranging from 0,5 mm to 1 mm (2 plies), in which the end grain design is printed and varnished.

By using our printed end-grain edge banding, the veneer board will have the natural look of a solid wood board, where you can even see the growth rings.

Printed End-Grain edges are the inexpensive option to getting the look of Solid End-Grain edges without the price tag.

The printed edgebanding is supplied varnished and finished in the color required by the customer. Therefore, it cannot be delivered without varnish.
